Has God ever delivered you from a
challenge? Has the Lord defeated an
enemy of yours that wrongly accused you?
Has He ever lifted you up from the depths of despair and restored your
health or reputation? Most of us who are
believers can answer in the affirmative and that is great. However, a more important question might be
what did we do when He came to our rescue?
Did we acknowledge His actions privately? Did we publicly praise Him? I realize that God doesn’t do what He does
for publicity or praise, but that doesn’t alleviate our responsibility to
acknowledge His work on our lives.
When King
David found himself surrounded by problems and challenges he asked for God’s
help then promised, “I will tell of Your name to my
brethren; in the
midst of the assembly I will praise You.” (Psalm 22:22). It is noble to profess a belief that God can and will deliver us, but when He does let’s give Him what He deserves.

What are
you doing this weekend? Would it be a
good time to join with like-minded believers and other recipients of God’s good
graces and join in worship? Not only
would it be pleasing to God and informative to others, it might also be a
necessary reminder of what God has done and continues to do in our lives.

About It!
