Isn’t it great to live in the land of liberty? Isn’t it wonderful to have the freedom to make the choices we want to make? That has been one of the appeals of the American way of life, but over the last few years, this freedom has been expanded. Not only can we choose the way we want to live, we have a plethora of outlets through which we can express our opinions about the choices we make. We have the ability to do what we want to do and the conduit through which we can defend our actions with our philosophies. We are so blessed to live a life of liberty, but we must be careful to remember that just because we have the freedom to live in the way we choose, that doesn’t mean that our choices are correct. Just because society or even the law gives us the ability to choose, that doesn’t mean that our opinion is the right one. Centuries ago, a wise man wrote, “Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the hearts.” (Proverbs 21:2). O
