Every so often, the news is filled with something that doesn’t seem fair. (Imagine that!?!) The situations I am referring to are those where people, often religious people, are accused of doing things they shouldn’t do. Even when the claims are true and sustainable, those of us who share a spiritual nature often complain that we aren’t getting fair treatment. After all, there are a lot of other people who do worse things and they are never called out for it. While there is some logic in this objection, we have to understand that as people who seek to set ourselves apart because of our beliefs and behavior we are expected to be better than those who don’t share our faith. No, being a Christian doesn’t make us any more valuable as a human being, but it does make us more responsible as a person.
