The other day, I was listening to a song and, unfortunately, I don’t remember too much about it. I came in in the middle of the song – and got at least a portion of the title – something about “We Haven’t Lost Him, We Know Where He Is”. I haven’t spent a lot of time researching the song since then, but as I listened to the end, I believe the concept is built on the idea of the colloquialism for death, “we lost him”. How many times have you heard someone say that they lost a friend or family member when they were referencing their death? Yet, the song advocated that if someone is faithful in their relationship with God, they aren’t lost, we know exactly where they are – they are safe in the arms of Jesus. No, we may not be able to see them, but we do know exactly where they are. They are at home, in heaven, enjoying their eternal reward. Isn’t it a comforting thought to believe that when someone dies, they are at home with the Lord? They aren’t lost in any sense of the word. T
