Who have you influenced in your life? While some of us may be able to identify those we have influenced, I imagine many of us would be surprised if we actually know how many people have looked up to us. Maybe it was the neighborhood child down the street we stood up for as teenager. It might have been the child in the second row of the class we taught in elementary school. It could have been the Middle School student in our Bible Class or the new employee who watched us from a distance. There are formal mentorship programs, but all too often our influence may be less formal, but just as impactful. How would our lives change if we thought about how many opportunities we had to make a positive impression on people? Interestingly, this is exactly what we should be doing. We never know who might be watching us, so let’s up our best foot forward.
