Happy Thanksgiving! For a lot of us, this really is the most wonderful time of the year. It is a time for family, food and football. It is a chance for some of us to go over the river and through the woods to Grandmother’s house. (Is that enough cliches for one paragraph?) Seriously, I do enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday because it represents something special. We spend so much of our time focused on how we can get ahead that, every-once-in-a-while it does us all some good to slow down and refocus our attention. One type of thanksgiving is an appreciation for the people around us. Most of us are raised with the belief that we should say “thank you” when people do something for us, but I think there is another level – being thankful for who people are.
