This weekend the National Football League will determine its champion.   While the NFL has had championship games for decades it wasn’t until late in the 1960s that the title game would be called the Super Bowl.   (By the way, the Green Bay Packers won that game by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs by the score of 35-10.)   I don’t know that the first game of the new-fangled playoff system was a complete success, but through the past half century the “game” has morphed into a spectacle complete with a halftime extravaganza, outrages commercials, all day coverage – and, oh yeah, even a football game.    While the NFL will tell you that Super Bowl Sunday had its origins in Los Angeles on January 15, 1967, there is another super Sunday that transcends all others.   The Bible makes note of a spring day centuries ago when a few woman came to prepare Jesus for His burial, “ But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.
