In all honesty, I don’t know too much about President Woodrow Wilson (well other than the fact that I frequently drive across a bridge named in his honor). However, the other day, I was looking at some quotes attributed to him and came across a couple good ones. The first one is rather cerebral, “You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand.”. The second is somewhat emotional, “At every crisis in one's life, it is absolute salvation to have some sympathetic friend to whom you can think aloud without restraint or misgiving.”. Yet, it was the third one that really got me to thinking, “I not only use all the brains that I have, but all I can borrow.”.
