I was shuffling through some notes the other day and came across one that made me think. I don’t know if it was something I thought up or if it was a quote from a book I was reading, but the note says, “Society doesn’t get to define what is important in my life.”. After contemplating this, it probably is something I read somewhere else because I am not sure I could come up with a concept that is that enlightening. Whether it was my idea or one I borrowed, the point is pretty important to me these days. I am often a chameleon who tends to allow the world to sneak into my priorities. I get too wrapped up in current events and modern issues and allow them to occupy too much of my time. Folks, there are a lot of issues being discussed in today’s world that don’t impact and shouldn’t influence me.
