Many of us who grew up in the bygone decades operated under the philosophy that if we worked hard and lived properly good things would happen to us.I am not sure that the younger generations believe this – and their skepticism is understandable because too often it seems like evil is winning.The rich keep getting richer because they do things their own way.The world tends to reward those who are self-serving.Often, the way things work out tends to be discouraging to the older people and serves to reinforce the fears of the youngsters.
