I have a lot of gadgets in my office – most of which require charging to work. They run fine as long as their batteries have enough electricity to keep them going. I doubt that you find much interesting in preceding sentence, so here’s my point: what happens when I don’t plug them in and recharge them? I can have the best of intentions and even set them next to a charging station, but until they are plugged in and getting the juice they need, they are little more than clutter. Now, again, you might be thinking I have a firm grasp of the obvious, but there is a lesson in this observation. Where are you going to be spending your weekend? How many of us have good intentions to go to worship – but, more importantly, how many of us will actually be there?
