How was your 2025? Did you accomplish what you set out to do? Are you better than where you were on January 1? I think that we tend to be a little harsh on ourselves when we look back at our progress (or digression) in the preceding years. I think we highlight our failures more than our successes. No, we didn’t do everything right in any preceding year, but with mistakes can come advancement … and that leads to growth. I like Paul’s thinking when he wrote, “Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Chris...
