If you have ever been
around a wildfire, you know how impressive (and frightening) they can be. These events of nature (even if they are the
product of manmade circumstances) are incredible. They can light up a pitch-black night and can
be heard approaching in the distance.
Yet, one of the most interesting things to me is how they can “create
their own weather”. The natural
environment within a wildfire can create clouds and, in some instances, fire
tornadoes. If the fire isn’t enough
in-and-of itself, these byproducts can bring additional issues.
As I thought about this,
I was inspired by another sub-climate – Christian joy. You see, we live in a world that is not
conducive to helping believers rejoice, but if we are willing to develop a
spirit and unity amongst ourselves, we can create our own spiritual
environment. In the midst of a dark and
dreary world, we can create a reservoir of positivity that can help us spread
our spirit. The Apostle Paul challenged
believers, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let
your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.”
(Philippians 4:4-5). Are we ready to set
the world on fire by our joyous spirit?
Who knows who we might influence in the process!
Think About It!
