Do you have one of those perpetual projects at your house or at your office building? You know the one – for some reason there is something that has never really worked right and time after time repairs have had to be made, but they never truly fix the problem. Oh, it will work for a while, but before too much longer, things get fouled up and it’s time for more repairs. It would be nice to fix it once and for all, but that just doesn’t seem to be able to be done. For most of us, we just come to an understanding that we’ll keep repairing the issue without solving the problem.
The other day, when I walked by one of those issues at my office, I had a revelation – this is what the New Testament writer was talking about in Hebrews 9:11-12, “But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.”. Mankind had a sin problem from the beginning of our recorded history. Our forefathers had been dealing with it repeatedly through animal sacrifices, but one day, Jesus solved the sin problem. No longer was there any need for sacrifices, the Perfect Sacrifice had been made. The writer goes on to say, “By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” (Hebrews 10:10).
Are we struggling with sin in our lives? Let’s not be content to try to make repairs on it – let’s find forgiveness and accept sanctification once for all.

Think About It!
