I have only known one royal in Great Britton. In fact, most of the people throughout the world have only known one royal personality, Queen Elizabeth. Elizabeth’s presence extended beyond decades, generations, conflicts, fads and just about everything else that marks time. She was such a recognizable figure because she lasted long enough to bridge just about any gaps.

As I thought about the queen’s presence, I also got to thinking about our King’s existence. The queen’s reign is impressive, but it pales in relationship to our Lord God’s connection with the world. Not only has God been around since the beginning of mankind, He is the reason mankind exists. He is its Creator and Sustainer. Not only does He have a presence in the world, He also is the Complete and Total Sovereign.

I hope you take the opportunity to experience the history of the passing of Queen Elizabeth and the beginning of the reign of King Charles; however, as you watch the pomp and circumstance don’t forget the truth of our Ultimate Ruler. He isn’t the Sovereign because He was crowned in some royal celebration, He is the King because “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1).

Think About It!
